What Are Details?
Auxiliary Police Officers are routinely assigned to work at details- planned events requiring a law enforcement presence, such as parades, races, concerts, fireworks shows, and other events requiring traffic and crowd control.
Unlike incidents encountered on patrol, details are planned in advance, and typically have a set number of officers assigned to it. Each officer is assigned a specific function for a set shift.
Although most details are planned a significant amount of time in advance, some details are planned last-minute for unplanned events, such as funerals or natural disasters.
